Erin Anderson, OTR/LErin Anderson and Associates specialize in working with students with Sensory Processing Disorder, learning disabilities, developmental coordination disorder, social emotional regulation, Autism and developmental delay. Since 2004, Erin Anderson & Associates has grown her therapy practice, through word of mouth and referral from a trusted network of clinical and medical professionals to be the team it is today. The team at Erin Anderson and Associates now consists of six board certified licensed therapists who have a combined 40+ years of experience.
It is important to Erin that parents are involved in the therapeutic process. She also likes this to extend to the practice of school for her clients. Afterall, their occupation is to be a child, peer, student and the success of the therapy involves the commitment of the child, the parent, the teacher and the therapist. In order to ensure Erin is able to do her part in this equation, her passion for her work extends to her membership in the clinical faculty at Saint Louis University, her alma mater. Through this partnership, she keeps her skills sharp and regularly mentors students who are earning their undergraduate and master’s in Occupational Therapy. Erin has built deep expertise in a number of areas – primarily the treatment of sensory processing and developmental coordination disorder. She is certified in a variety of topics and ensures that she and her staff complete regular continuing education in the fields of OT and Speech. Erin continues to be sought for her experience and expertise in the field. She often is asked to coach peers. She often speaks to parent groups and teachers in the Chicagoland area. Her sponsored talks vary from the education of fine motor development and sensory processing. Erin regularly speaks at local and state conferences and has been a featured speaker at the Association of Educational Therapists and the Illinois Branch of the International Dyslexia Association. |
